## Description

Blue and yellow make green — and Hueka can tell you why. Real paint physics, not RGB averages, with an explanation behind every mix.

Most colour-mixing apps average RGB values. That tells you blue and yellow make grey. Real paint makes green.

Hueka mixes the way paint actually mixes. Every pigment is a reflectance curve sampled across the visible spectrum, blended with Kubelka-Munk subtractive theory and converted to screen colour through the CIE 1931 observer. That is why the answers here match what happens on a real palette.

SIMPLE MODE
Six colours. Tap to add a dab, see the result and its name straight away. Names come from the eleven basic colour terms that nearly every language shares, so the vocabulary stays in words everyone already has.

STUDIO MODE
Eight named pigments - cadmium red, quinacridone magenta, ultramarine, phthalo cyan and more. Mix by parts and get a full explanation: the mix step by step, why chroma collapsed, which pigment is dominating by tinting strength, what white and black really do to a colour, and which slice of the spectrum survived.

CHALLENGE MODE
A target colour, a palette, and a score based on the CIE76 colour distance. Getting close is easy. Getting it right teaches you more than any diagram.

WHY IT IS DIFFERENT
Most apps in this category blend two hex values and show you the average. Hueka runs the same subtractive model used to predict how pigments behave, so a mix of three colours turns muddy here for exactly the reason it turns muddy on paper.
