Paste a link, share an article from Safari, import an EPUB or a PDF, scan a printed page with the camera, or just paste text. Readur pulls out the actual writing — no navigation, no cookie banners, no comment sections — and reads it aloud in a voice you choose.

NINE NEURAL VOICES, RUNNING ON YOUR IPHONE

Most reading apps hand you the same robotic system voice. Readur offers nine downloadable neural voices that sound close to a person: Heart, Thea, Nora, Nicole, Wren, Iris, Michael, Elliot and Silas.

They run entirely on your device. No streaming, no server, no account — once a voice is downloaded it works on a plane, on the Tube, anywhere.

Each voice lists its measured reading pace, from 101 to 174 words per minute, so you can pick one that suits the book rather than guessing. That number was measured, not estimated.
