PlaylistTV turns the playlists and collections on your own Plex Media Server into channels that simply play.

Pick a channel and it starts. No episode list, no deciding what comes next — it runs like a television station you programmed yourself.

WHAT IT DOES

FOR YOUR OWN LIBRARY
PlaylistTV needs a Plex Media Server of your own. It only ever reads from it. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is renamed, nothing is deleted — the app has no way to change your library at all.

YOUR PLACE FOLLOWS YOU
Start an episode on the Apple TV, finish it on your iPhone. Progress travels through your own private iCloud account. It never touches anybody else's server, and there is no account to create here.

YOUR SERVER STAYS UNTOUCHED BY DEFAULT
The app keeps its own watch progress, separate from your server. If you would rather have finished episodes marked watched there as well, you can switch that on — for everything or for a single channel. Both directions are off until you decide otherwise, because on a library you have already worked through, every channel would otherwise start out finished.
