LOCAL-FIRST BY DESIGN

Recipes, cooking history, chat sessions, dietary settings, and saved preferences are stored on your device. No Chefness account or separate Chefness user-data server is required. When you invoke an AI feature, the relevant prompt, app context, and any image you choose are sent through OpenRouter to the selected model provider.

Saved local content remains available offline. AI chat, AI recipe editing, live model discovery, and remote recipe imports require an internet connection.

An OpenRouter account is required for AI features. Usage charges may apply depending on the model you select, and free models may be available.
