PlainScribe turns spoken thoughts into editable text with a simple workflow: record, transcribe, optionally clean up or shorten, then edit, copy, or share.

PlainScribe is free to download and use, with no ads and no subscription. You provide your own OpenAI or ElevenLabs API key. Any usage charges are billed directly by the selected provider under its pricing and terms.

Credentials are stored securely in your device’s Keychain. PlainScribe does not require an account or send content through a separate PlainScribe server.
