## Description

Scan a business card and it never leaves your iPhone. Recognition runs on device. Your cards live in your own iCloud — we keep no copy and have no way to read them.

Most business card apps upload your cards to their servers. This one doesn't.

Recognition runs on your iPhone using Apple's on-device Vision and Foundation Models. A card never has to leave the device to be read. What you save lives in your own storage — this iPhone and your own iCloud. We keep no copy, and nothing gives us a way to read yours.

THE PERSON WHO HANDED YOU THE CARD NEVER FINDS OUT

Card apps that write to your iOS address book have a side effect people rarely expect: messaging apps read that address book and start suggesting the person as a friend, or signal to them that you saved their number. Someone you met once at a conference ends up connected to your private messaging.

CardCase keeps its contacts to itself. Nothing reaches iOS Contacts until you switch it on — one person at a time, or all at once from Settings if you would rather. Turning it back off deletes the copy.

CALLER ID WITHOUT GIVING UP YOUR ADDRESS BOOK

When a number you saved calls, the name and company appear on screen. This works through iOS Call Directory, so it needs nothing added to iOS Contacts.

BUILT FOR CARDS THAT AREN'T IN ENGLISH

Recognition adapts to the region a card comes from — job titles, departments, legal forms, and phone conventions differ, and a parser tuned for one country guesses badly at another. Cards are read in 24 languages — Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Czech, Romanian, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Ukrainian, Russian, Turkish, Arabic, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian and Malay — and anything else is read as English.

Search finds people by name, company, or initials, and Korean names are searchable by their consonants alone.

WHAT YOU KEEP

  • Card images preserved alongside the extracted text
  • Front and back read together — one contact, both sides
  • A timeline of when and where you met
  • Tags and company grouping
  • Duplicate detection, with job-change history kept when you merge
  • Full export to vCard and an encrypted backup, any time

WHICH IPHONE YOU HAVE MATTERS

Recognition has two paths. On iPhone 16 and newer — and on iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max — Apple Intelligence reads the card, and that is the path the app was built around. On earlier iPhones, and if you have Apple Intelligence turned off, a rules-based reader takes over. It finds emails and phone numbers just as reliably, but it fills in names, companies and job titles less often, so you will correct more before saving. Everything else — storage, search, caller ID, sync, export — works exactly the same.

The review screen always shows what was read, and you can never save a card without seeing it first.

IF YOUR SUBSCRIPTION ENDS

Your contacts stay on this iPhone. Viewing, search, calling, caller ID and export all keep working. Adding, changing and iCloud sync pause. Nothing is deleted, and your data is never locked inside the app — Settings has a one-tap way to erase everything and start over.

WHY A SUBSCRIPTION

CardCase runs no server, so there is nothing to charge for storage. The subscription pays for keeping up with each year's iOS release, tracking the Vision and Foundation Models APIs, improving recognition accuracy, and adding new regions. There are no ads, and the subscription is the only revenue.

New subscribers start with a free trial, then choose monthly or yearly. The App Store shows the price for your region.

PRIVACY

  • No account to create — the app works the moment you open it
  • Works fully without iCloud; sync is a convenience, not a requirement
  • iOS Contacts access is requested only if you turn that feature on
  • Privacy policy: https://pcardcase.khypartners.com/privacy
  • Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
