TARS wakes you at the time you set — reliably, through silent mode and Focus — and then does something no other alarm does: he tells you about your day. The weather and whether you need an umbrella. Your first meeting. What's on your list. Spoken in a calm British voice, in about a minute, while you're still horizontal.

HOW IT WORKS

• At your time, he greets you by name with a short spoken wake-up that ends in a question

TARS+ is an auto-renewing subscription: $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year (US pricing; prices may vary by region), each starting with a 7-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings after purchase. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
