**Record & Transcribe Offline** is not just a voice recorder with a summary added on. It is a local-first recording and transcription workspace designed to preserve the path from spoken content to clear notes, decisions, and follow-up.

## FROM LIVE SPEECH TO VERIFIABLE OUTCOMES

Record live audio or import existing audio and video files. A two-stage speech workflow provides an on-device preview while recording, then prepares a refined transcript after you save. Time-aligned transcript segments preserve context, allowing tasks, decisions, risks, and important quotes to be traced back to the relevant transcript or audio moment.

## MARKER-DIRECTED ANALYSIS

Go beyond simply bookmarking a timestamp. During recording, classify a moment as Important, Action, Decision, Question, or Marker. The app uses the surrounding transcript as focused context when organizing results, helping important moments stand out from the rest of the recording.

## A WORKSPACE, NOT A PILE OF TRANSCRIPTS

Recorded content can be organized into an overview, key conclusions, topics, risks, next steps, important quotes, and follow-up notes. Action items can include owners, due dates, priorities, status, reminders, and source evidence.

A dedicated Progress workspace helps track tasks from pending through completion, while the Decision Log keeps key decisions separate from general notes.

## OUTPUT STRUCTURES FOR DIFFERENT SCENARIOS

Use structured templates for team meetings, lectures, interviews, sales calls, product reviews, brainstorming sessions, retrospectives, doctor-visit notes, and legal-consultation notes.

You can also create custom templates, preview their structure, and apply them to existing recordings when you need a different output format.

## BUILT-IN CHINESE ↔ ENGLISH WORKFLOW

Bilingual mode displays source text and translation together, supports live offline translation, generates bilingual notes, and allows incomplete segments to be retried individually.

This workflow is designed specifically for bilingual recording and transcription rather than adding translation only after transcription is complete.

## PRIVACY AS PART OF THE DESIGN

Transcription and basic analysis run on device by default. Records are stored in an AES-GCM encrypted local library, and audio files use iOS complete file protection.

Private Vault recordings are hidden from Recent and can require Face ID. Private Meeting mode does not upload audio or transcript text.

If you explicitly enable Cloud AI Enhance for a standard recording, only transcript text is sent for processing. Original audio remains on your device.

## REVIEW, TRACE, AND EXPORT

Search transcripts, play audio from marked moments, edit generated content, manage tasks, and export records as PDF, Markdown, or TXT.

Calendar and reminder exports can also help carry follow-up work into the rest of your workflow.
