The Outdoors App is a guide to public land in the United States — trails, parks, campgrounds and lakes — built for the moment you are standing at a trailhead with one bar of signal.

FIND SOMEWHERE TO GO Browse thousands of trails, national and state parks, campgrounds and water bodies. Filter by length, elevation gain, difficulty, dogs allowed, accessibility, amenities and more. Sort by distance and see what is genuinely near you.

MAPS THAT WORK WITHOUT SIGNAL Download map regions and whole trails to your phone before you go. Contour lines, terrain and trail paths stay on your device, so the map still works in the canyon where your phone does not.

RECORD YOUR ROUTE Start a recording at the trailhead and the app tracks your route, distance and elevation — and keeps recording with the phone in your pocket and the screen off. Your recordings stay on your device unless you choose to save them.

CAMPGROUNDS IN DETAIL Individual campsites, loops, amenities, seasons and photos. See which sites are reservable and jump straight to booking.

BUILD YOUR OWN MAPS Drop markers, draw areas, add photos and notes, and keep a personal map of the places you care about.
