HOW IT WORKS
Open the scanner, fit the ingredients list inside the frame, and tap. You get a verdict on the product and on every single ingredient:

• 100% Vegan - nothing of animal origin
• Very Likely Vegan - almost always plant-based, occasionally not
• Suspicious - could go either way depending on the manufacturer
• Not Vegan - animal-derived

WHAT IT CATCHES
Animal products hide behind chemical names. Carmine is crushed insects. Casein and whey are milk. Shellac comes from a beetle. L-cysteine can come from feathers. Gelatin, isinglass, lanolin, cochineal, lactose - the app knows them, and explains each one in plain English, so you learn as you shop.

It also flags the genuinely ambiguous ones instead of guessing. Natural flavours and mono- and diglycerides can be vegan or not depending on the producer, and you deserve to be told that rather than given false confidence.
