## Description

Leave it running and it never repeats: the music is composed on your phone bar by bar, and the hand-drawn room behind it moves from dawn to night with your clock.

Cosy Hours plays music that is being made as you listen. Nothing in it is a recording — no samples, no loops, no audio files anywhere in the app. Every note is synthesised on your device as it is played, so it will not repeat for as long as you leave it running. Put it on to work to, to study to, or to fall asleep to.

THE SHELF
Lofi records, each a different band rather than a different filter: a Rhodes on a balcony, brushes and vibraphone in the rain, nylon guitar over an upright bass, a koto, a choir. Chiptune sides for an arcade. And beds with no notes in them at all — ocean, forest wind, rain on glass, noise, a singing bowl, temple bells. Nothing loops, so nothing wears out.

THE CHILL BAR
One slider, AWAKE to ASLEEP. Tempo, swing, tone, reverb, density and even the lead instrument move together, and the tempo glides rather than jumps — so it sounds like the track settling rather than a track being changed.

THE ROOM
Behind the music is a hand-drawn pixel room: a woman on a sofa with a mug of coffee, a record turning, a tabby asleep at her feet, rain on the window and a city beyond it. She breathes, she blinks, her fingers tap, the coffee steams. Nothing is interpolated; every frame is a drawing somebody made. The room follows your clock from dawn to night, and the clock on the wall tells the actual time.

THE POMODORO
Focus and break lengths you choose, and a chime with no strike anywhere in it, so there is nothing to flinch at. The record can stop for your break and start again afterwards. The countdown sits on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, counted by the system's own clock, so it stays right even while the app is asleep.

QUIET BY DEFAULT
Everything runs on your device. No account, no subscription, no ads, no tracking and no network connection of any kind — there is nothing to collect, because nothing is ever sent. It keeps playing with the screen off, and it works with no signal at all.
