Orbital Sequencer is a touch-first, scale-locked MIDI sequencer for iPad.

Turn a circular pattern into evolving musical motion. Shape duration, pitch, velocity, octave, and mute directly on each step, then send the resulting MIDI into the instruments and music apps already in your workflow.

ORBIT mode lets every active step keep its own duration, so the total sequence length emerges naturally from the pattern. RHYTHMIC mode balances the full sequence across a defined 1, 2, 4, or 8 bar phrase while preserving its musical shape.

Randomize is focused and intentional. Choose the lane you want to explore, set its range, and randomize only that musical dimension. Arm Dice when you want the selected lane to evolve again as the sequence cycles.

Orbital Sequencer includes:

- A circular, performance-focused eight-orb interface
- Patterns from 1 to 16 steps with dedicated 1-8 and 9-16 edit pages
- Per-step duration, pitch, velocity, octave, and mute control
- Scale-locked pitch generation across musical keys and scales
- ORBIT mode for free-flowing step durations
- RHYTHMIC mode with 1, 2, 4, and 8 bar sequence lengths
- Focused Randomize and cycle-based Dice evolution
- Editable speed, gate, active-step count, global octave, and tempo
- Thirty-two factory presets plus user preset and bank import or export
- Standalone CoreMIDI routing with a persistent virtual MIDI source
- A genuine AUv3 MIDI Processor for compatible iPad music hosts
- Shared presets between the standalone app and AUv3 extension
- A persistent Reduce Motion control, with iPadOS accessibility settings taking priority

Orbital Sequencer generates MIDI and does not produce sound by itself. Route it to a software instrument, hardware synthesizer, or MIDI-capable host.

Requires iPadOS 17 or later. Landscape orientation only.
