## Description

SID3KICK records what you say out loud, transcribes it, and turns it into notes you can search and question later. Speech recognition runs on the device. Recordings, transcripts and summaries are stored on the device. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server of ours involved.

HOW IT WORKS
Tap the mic on Home and talk. SID3KICK captures the audio, transcribes it, writes a summary, pulls out the action items it heard, and flags dates and appointments so you can add them to your calendar in one tap.

SIX TABS
Home: a record button that pulses with the level of your voice, an elapsed-time readout, and your latest captures.
Ask: put a question to everything you have recorded. Ask what you said about the lease last week and it answers across every stored transcript and summary, using the date, time and place each capture was tagged with.
To-dos: action items pulled from what was actually said, split into open and done, plus anything you add by hand. Tap one to jump back to the recording it came from.
Days: a written digest of a day with that day's action items appended as a checklist, generated when you ask for it.
Recordings: every capture with status, duration and playback. Open one for the transcript, the summary, the events it found, the place it was recorded, and the original audio.
Settings: all of the above, spelled out in plain language.

TRANSCRIPTION, YOUR CHOICE
On device: Apple's speech recognizer with on-device recognition forced on. No key, no account, no network, and the audio never leaves the phone.
Cloud: OpenAI speech-to-text with your own API key, when you want that accuracy instead.

AI: YOUR PROVIDER, YOUR KEY
Summaries, action items, event extraction, daily digests and the Ask tab run through whichever provider you set in Settings: OpenAI, Anthropic, an Ollama or LM Studio instance on your own network, or any endpoint that speaks the OpenAI chat-completions API. You paste your own key or base URL. Nothing is sent to any of them until you configure one, and pointing the app at a local model keeps every byte inside your network.

AI usage is billed to you by the provider you choose. SID3KICK logs every call it makes: provider, model, input and output tokens, audio seconds and the computed cost, with all-time, today and this-month totals, a price table you can edit, and $0 against local engines.

WHERE YOUR DATA GOES
No accounts. No analytics. No crash reporting. No ads. No tracking SDKs. There is no SID3KICK server for your data to sit on. Apart from turning coordinates into a place name, which asks the system geocoder and only when location tagging is on, every network destination is one you typed into Settings yourself. Location tagging starts in its low-power mode, which keeps the place name while blurring coordinates to roughly a kilometre, and you can switch it off entirely.

MAKE IT YOURS
Dark and light, each with five accent colours, plus a retro sci-fi console theme that keeps its own signature palette. Rename the assistant and the new name is used throughout the app. The layout adapts from iPhone SE to iPad and holds together at 200% text size.

HONEST LIMITS
Summaries, digests and the Ask tab need an AI provider configured. Recording, playback and on-device transcription work with nothing configured at all.
Recording laws differ by place. Some require every participant's consent, others only yours. You are responsible for recording lawfully wherever you are.
