Music players used to have it. One record pulled off the shelf at random, played from the first track to the last. Not songs mixed up; albums. This app exists to bring that back.

■ One album, in order
Not a song shuffle. The unit is the album, and the running order inside stays exactly as the artist made it. Track order is part of the work, and this app never touches it. Skipping moves you to the next album, not the next song.

■ For the records that sit in your library, unplayed
This app is for the night when deciding what to play is the thing that stops you. It takes over the choosing, and nothing else.

■ Or pick a few, just for tonight
The first screen is where you pick. Tap album covers to choose today’s albums, then tap “Shuffle N Albums”. Only those come round, and a strip at the top shows what’s playing and what’s next. Tap another cover while listening to add it. Or tap “Shuffle All” to play from your whole library.

■ Short on tracks? Pick it anyway
Singles and albums with missing tracks are left out of Shuffle All. They still sit in the grid like any other album, and they play when you pick them. If an album with missing tracks is on Apple Music, “Add Full Album” adds every track from there.

■ Pay once
Everything is free for the first 10 days. After that, up to 8 selected albums stay free — to keep using Shuffle All on your whole library, unlock the app with a one-time purchase. Nothing renews.

■ How it works
Reads the albums already in your Music library. An Apple Music subscription is required. It never creates playlists. The only time it writes to your library is when you tap “Add Full Album”.
