## Description

Play live without turns—or practise against 13 on-device computer strengths from 400 to 2800.

Real-Time Chess turns classic chess into a live contest.

There are no alternating turns. Both players can move whenever their own three-second cooldown is ready, so the board is always changing and every decision matters.

Play standard chess with the rules you know: legal moves, checks, checkmate, and the full board. The difference is tempo. Move quickly to build pressure, or take longer and risk giving your opponent the initiative.

Play your way:

• Practise against the on-device computer at 13 estimated strengths from 400 to 2800. An internet connection keeps every game server-authoritative.
• Find an anonymous opponent for a quick unranked game.
• Create a private room and invite one friend.
• Play across iPhone and web with the same authoritative game.
• Drag or tap a piece, see its legal destinations, and make your move.
• Reopen a private game to recover your seat while the room remains active.

No account is required. Real-Time Chess is free to play and contains no ads. Computer strength numbers are estimates for Real-Time Chess, not player ratings or independently calibrated FIDE Elo.
