817 open-licensed English picture books are included in the app. No downloads, no connection needed. Every book is graded from Level 1 (your very first English picture book) to Level 4 (longer stories).

■ Tap a word, see it in your language
Tap any English word in the text and its meaning appears in your own language. 20 languages are supported — English, Japanese, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Turkish, Arabic, Hindi, Korean, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian and Malay. Every dictionary is bundled, so it works offline too.

■ Natural-sounding narration
Books are read aloud with natural pronunciation (the high-quality voice is downloaded once on first use; a standard voice works right away). Words are highlighted as they are spoken, so you take in English with both eyes and ears. Speed is adjustable from 0.5x to 1.25x, and auto-play keeps reading as you turn pages.

When you finish a book, just pick how hard and how fun it was. Story Leaf adjusts your English level automatically and suggests three books to read next, learning the genres you like while still introducing new ones.
