Somewhere out there, a stranger left something for you to find.

Sigil lets you leave a short message, an inscription, pinned to a real place. Anyone who passes by can find it. And wherever you go, you can find what others left before you.

HOW IT WORKS
• Compose an inscription from a curated word bank, add a photo if you like, and pin it to your exact spot or to a wider area if you'd rather not share exactly where you stood.
• Browse the map or the nearby list to see what other wanderers have left around you, or widen the radius and explore inscriptions anywhere in the world.
• Appraise the ones that resonate. A quiet way of saying this mattered.
• Turn on proximity alerts and get a notification when you pass near an inscription you haven't seen. Detection happens entirely on your device. Your location is never sent anywhere for this feature.

BUILT FOR PRIVACY
• Photos are stripped of location and device metadata before they leave your phone.
• Area inscriptions never store your precise coordinates, only a wide radius, by design.
• Start anonymously. No account, no email, nothing required to post your first inscription. Claim an account with email or Sign in with Apple later to keep your legacy across devices.
• No ads, no tracking, no followers, no algorithm deciding what you see.

A WORLD LEFT BY OTHERS
Every inscription is a small trace of someone who stood where you're standing now. Quiet messages, warnings, jokes, encouragement, each one waiting to be found by whoever comes next.

Sigil is built by a solo developer who wanted something quieter than a typical social app. Just messages, tied to places, waiting to be found.

SIGIL+ (OPTIONAL)
Sigil is free to use, with up to ten inscriptions an hour. Sigil+ removes that limit and lets you set your legacy apart:
• Inscribe without limit
• Choose your pin's color, shape, or emoji on the map
• Give your inscriptions their own color and frame
• Wear a bordered avatar on your Legacy
• Feature one inscription above the rest

Sigil+ is $1.99 per month or $16.99 per year, after a 7-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed or cancelled in your Apple ID settings at any time.
