## Description

A living block world in your pocket. Tilt the wind, place a building, watch the herds answer. It keeps running while you are away. Come back and watch the days go past.

A 3D world behind your phone glass. A small, living stretch of land you keep, not a game you win.

Nothing here is a menu. The ground, the weather, the plants and the animals are one simulation running under the glass: green spreads where soil and water allow it, herds follow the green, hunters follow the herds, and when a stand of plants exhausts the soil beneath it, the whole picture has to move. You do not command any of it. You perturb it, and you watch what the world says back.

TILT, SHAKE, WATCH
Tilt your phone and the wind leans with it. Shake it and a gust runs across the land, scattering seed if the ground is ready and stripping it if it is not. Turn the phone face down and the light goes out early. Tap the glinting motes the world sheds to bank resources such as fiber, spore, bone and stone.

BUILD LEVERS, NOT DECORATIONS
Twenty-seven structures, and every one of them is a two-sided bargain. A hedge shelters the green behind it from storms - and stops it spreading. A lure stone gathers the grazers, so the hunters come too, and the ground is stripped bare. A beacon lets plants grow at night, and nothing can sleep in the light. A kiln bakes stone out of the earth and kills the green around it. You are not decorating a room. You are choosing which pressure to apply, and living with the other edge.

A WORLD THAT GOES ON WITHOUT YOU
Close the app and the biome keeps its own time. Come back and it walks the missed days past you, one at a time, so you see what happened instead of reading a number. A volcano you left mid-eruption is still mid-eruption a week later.

EXPAND THE FRONTIER
Raise an obelisk at the edge and the land opens further. New ground brings new landmarks: an impact crater, a stepped pyramid, a geyser field, termite cathedrals, a dune sea, a stone circle, sea stacks, a wrecked ship, a tar pit, a crashed craft, a volcano, a watercourse. New species arrive as the world grows wide enough to hold them.

EVERY WORLD IS A SEED
Nine characters make a world, and the same nine characters make it again - the same land, the same species, the same weather, the same story, exactly. Or type any word you like and see the world that word makes.

HAND A WORLD TO A FRIEND
Hold your screen up to another phone's camera and the whole biome crosses over: its age, its structures, its herds, its journal, its notice boards. Visit somebody else's world without touching your own, and find what they left behind for you.

KEEP THE RECORD

- A chronicle that writes down what actually happened, in a naturalist's hand
- A field guide that fills in as you meet things
- An almanac of peaks, losses and standing totals
- Name a place and travel back to it whenever you like
- Export a share card, or an animated postcard of your world

MADE TO BE LIVED WITH

- No ads. Ever.
- No score, no timers, no energy bars, no leaderboards, no daily login
- Works fully offline
- Sixteen original pieces of music: day and night, one pair for every season
- Eleven languages: English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Ukrainian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean
- Reduced-motion support, screen reader labels, and haptics you can switch off

Optional and never required: Vivarium Extended opens the far lands, The Other Glass gives you a second and a third biome, and the rest are small conveniences. Everything described above is in the free app.

Vivarium asks for about two minutes of your attention, and gives you back a world that was still running while you were gone.
