## Description

A free, nonpartisan app that enables values-based civic action. Designed for people who are done with the noise.

Hungry Eagle is a fun, free, nonpartisan app for young Americans. Our mission is to empower users to participate in democracy based on what they really care about. By focusing on issues over ideologies, we make civic engagement feel purposeful and winnable, not tribal and exhausting.

The app asks users what they care about in their own words and maps that to civic action. In this first version, the Eagle assistant can chat with users about live legislation related to their top issues from Congress.gov and OpenStates.org, help them message their elected officials, and build a civic profile.

The app is also a vehicle for great content and includes links to the National Archives so users can see and explore the Constitution, a curated list of nonpartisan action tools, articles about what Americans actually agree on, links to nonpartisan organizations that are solving problems and building bridges, and “Civic TV” our video content player.

We're raising funds so that the Eagle can suggest eight different actions based on what users care about, all grounded in verified government data. In addition to exploring live legislation, these will include messaging elected officials, finding aligned candidates, weighing ballot measures, connecting with like-minded interest groups, signing petitions, attending local government meetings, and discovering relevant volunteer opportunities. Everything is generated based on user concerns, not partisan politics or ideological camps.

Users "Feed the Eagle" through action and exploration. Actions help their Eagle thrive; lack of action causes the Eagle to become sick and depressed.
