## Description

BodyDashCam turns your iPhone into an on-board camera: a dashcam for your car, or a bodycam for walks. Every video is automatically stamped with your GPS coordinates, burned directly into the footage, with date and time.

100% offline — No data ever leaves your phone. No account, no server, no tracking: all recording and processing happens locally, on the device.

Two recording modes — Standard mode records continuously, cut into segments (15 sec to 2 h) saved as they finish: nothing is ever deleted automatically, so storage use grows for as long as you're recording, but an app crash or dead battery can only cost you the segment in progress — never the rest. Cyclic mode instead only ever keeps your chosen cycle length: storage stays capped no matter how long the recording actually runs — ideal for whenever you don't know in advance if the footage will be worth keeping.

Impact protection — In cyclic mode, a detected impact (a crash, a hard bump) automatically switches to saving each new segment individually and immediately for a full cycle's length, instead of looping through the buffer — with an on-screen counter showing how many segments are left before it reverts to normal looping.

Optional merging — At a manual stop, in either mode, turn on merging for one continuous file instead of several segments. The original segments are then deleted automatically to avoid duplicates: silently in cyclic mode (they only ever lived in the app's own private folder), after your permission in standard mode.

You choose where your videos go — Straight to Photos, or to a private folder inside the app itself, if you'd rather keep your videos out of your camera roll and out of any automatic cloud backup.

Automatic backup — If you save to Photos and have iCloud Photos enabled, your videos then head to the cloud automatically, with no extra setup needed inside BodyDashCam.
