## Description

Interpret handgrip strength beyond cutoff points: percentiles by sex and age, EWGSOP2, normative curves, and an A4 summary in PT/EN. External dynamometer required.

Handgrip Light is an assessment support tool for adult handgrip strength. The app combines the EWGSOP2 cutoff point with estimated percentile contextualization, allowing results to be interpreted beyond a binary classification.

Key features:
• records up to three trials for each hand;
• automatically selects the highest entered value;
• classifies the result using the EWGSOP2 cutoff point;
• estimates percentile by sex and age band;
• displays normative curves across adulthood;
• generates a clear automated interpretation;
• creates a one-page A4 PDF summary;
• interface available in Portuguese and English;
• works locally, without transmitting entered data to the developer or to app servers.

Normative data are adapted from Table 2 of Tomkinson GR et al., Journal of Sport and Health Science, 2025;14:101014. The reference protocol includes seated assessment, flexed elbow, neutral forearm and wrist, handle adjusted to hand size, and three trials for each hand.

Designed for healthcare professionals, researchers, educators, and students who use handgrip dynamometry in assessment, teaching, or research.

Handgrip Light is a support tool and does not replace a complete clinical assessment. Results obtained with instruments or protocols that differ from the reference protocol should be interpreted with caution.
