## Description

OTABiS is a map app for anime pilgrimage ("seichi junrei") — visiting the real places that appear in anime. It covers 14,000+ locations across Japan, organized by work, in English, Japanese and Simplified Chinese.

FIND LOCATIONS
- Browse spots by work and see their position and reference image on the map
- Episode references and data sources shown for each spot
- Optional second layer for sightseeing spots and permanent shops

CHECK IN ON SITE
- On-site check-in within 100 m, three check-in methods
- Compare mode: overlay the reference image on the viewfinder to recreate the shot
- Add a one-line comment to your check-in photo for the gallery

PLAN A TRIP
- Day-by-day itineraries with collaborative editing
- Today mode: on travel days your plan is pinned on top with the next stop
- Add hotels, sightseeing spots and Circle spots to your plan

CIRCLES
- Build a private shared map with friends; join by invite code or QR
- Circle spots and check-ins are visible to members only and never appear on the public map

RECORD AND LOOK BACK
- Journey log and exploration map: places you've visited light up over time
- Per-work completion stats and a shareable poster
