Works out the chords of any song you play or import, and sets them above the lyrics. Everything runs on your phone — your music is never uploaded.

Fretbook listens to an audio file on your phone — or to the instrument you're
playing — and works out the chords. What you get back is a chart you can
actually play from: chords sitting above the lyrics, right on the word where
they change.

BUILT FOR PLAYERS, NOT FOR DATA

It produces a playable chart, not raw output. Chords land on the bar,
out-of-key readings get corrected, and complex voicings are reduced to shapes
you can hold. The raw result is still there if you want it.

YOUR MUSIC STAYS ON YOUR PHONE

Analysis happens entirely on device. Your songs are never uploaded to a
server, and it works without a connection.

HOW TO USE IT

Import an audio file or play into the microphone. When the analysis finishes,
the chord chart appears. To transcribe lyrics automatically you download the
lyrics model once; you can also paste lyrics in yourself.

You get 2 free analyses a day. Watch an ad to earn another, or go Pro to
remove ads entirely and use it without limits. Pro is a one-time payment —
there's no subscription.

SUPPORTED FORMATS

M4A, MP3, WAV, AIFF, CAF, FLAC.
Protected tracks downloaded from Apple Music can't be opened.
