## Description

The only anchor alarm that reports its own downtime. It counts every minute it lost the GPS fix — so you know your watch was real.

Every anchor alarm can go blind without telling you. The GPS drops, the phone sleeps, the system reclaims the app — and the circle on the screen keeps looking safe while nobody is watching your boat.

Rodewatch is built around one honest idea: an anchor watch should tell you whether it was actually watching. It counts every minute it lost the fix and lists the night's blind stretches in the morning, with times. It draws the swing you actually made, not the circle you hoped for. And it exports the whole night as GPX, clean enough to open in your chart plotter.

ON YOUR WRIST, NOT BELOW DECK. At anchor the phone is charging in the cabin. Rodewatch runs the watch on Apple Watch — the alarm, the swing plot and the blind-time warning live on your wrist, held up by a workout session through the night.

WHAT IT DOES
— Drag alarm with confirmation logic: GPS jitter on the boundary does not wake you at 3 a.m.; a boat genuinely outside the circle does — and a gross breach cuts the confirmation short. Noisy fixes carry less weight, so a throttled, low-power night alarms on drag, not on jitter.
— Alarms that keep going: a latched drag alarm repeats every 30 seconds and a blind watch every two minutes until you answer. One buzz is not a watch.
— Downtime ledger: every stretch without a usable fix is counted and listed — when it began, how long it lasted, and whether the GPS ever came back. Three minutes blind raises its own alert, exactly as loud as a drag.
— Survives being killed: if the system reclaims the app mid-night, the watch comes back with the anchor, the alarm latch and the ledger intact, and the dead window is counted, not hidden.
— A cached, re-served GPS fix can never silence a latched alarm.
— Re-centre when the swing says the pin was off the anchor — offered, never applied by itself.
— Swing plot of your actual night, and GPX export with anchor and track — opens in any chart plotter.
— Man-overboard mark and a race start timer, because the same wrist sails the boat.

THE NUMBER, NOT THE PROMISE
No app can see a drag that happens entirely inside a GPS blackout — Rodewatch is the only one that will tell you the blackout happened. Its reliability is measured on every build, not claimed: the shipped alarm logic is replayed through 6,600 simulated dragging nights across eleven GPS failure modes — outages, low-power throttling, cold start, short dropouts, suspension, cached fixes, accuracy collapse, process death, slow drift, and a drag that starts inside a blackout. Missed drags: 0 of 6,600. False alarms on calm nights: 0 % with a clean fix, 2 % throttled, 11 % when armed on a ±20 m fix. That is a measurement of the logic, not of your GPS chip — which is exactly why the ledger exists.

Rodewatch Pro unlocks the full night report, the blind-stretch ledger and GPX export. The alarm itself is never paywalled.
