HOW IT IS DIFFERENT
Sound changes are taught, not hidden: you learn why 감사합니다 sounds like [감사함니다], which is why most learners cannot follow spoken Korean. Irregular verbs come with the regular lookalikes, because you cannot tell them apart by looking. Numbers are built, not memorised.
