HOW IT WORKS

hado99 sets the encrypted DNS resolver your device uses, through the standard iOS DNS settings. There is no VPN profile and no root certificate. Your DNS queries travel encrypted over DNS-over-HTTPS, so your carrier or the owner of the Wi-Fi network cannot read which sites you visit.

The hado99 resolver checks each domain against public, auditable lists of known phishing, malware and tracking domains, and answers normally for everything else.

FOR FAMILIES

Optional category filters — gambling and adult content — turned on only if you want them, and protected by a PIN. The PIN is required to WEAKEN protection, never to turn it on.

PRIVACY

• No browsing history is stored, on your device or on our servers
• No account, no login, no advertising identifier
• Counters and the recent-blocks list live in memory only and are gone on restart
• No ads, no analytics and no third-party trackers inside the app

TRANSPARENCY
