Liz turns a spare tablet into an always-on display for someone with memory difficulty, and keeps their family in the loop from anywhere.

The tablet sits on a kitchen counter or a bedside table, showing today's reminders in large, readable text and a rotating slideshow of the people who love them. There is nothing to unlock, nothing to open, and nothing to remember how to use. It is simply on.

From your phone, you send the reminders and the photos.

FOR THE PERSON USING THE TABLET
• Today's reminders, in type large enough to read across a room
• Tap one to check it off — that is the entire interface
• A slideshow of family photos, each captioned with who is in it
• An undo button, for when something gets checked off by mistake

FOR THE FAMILY
• Send a reminder from your phone - once, or repeating daily, weekly, monthly or yearly
• Schedule one to appear at a particular time
• Mark a reminder important so it stays at the top of the display
• Add photos with a caption: who is in it, how they are related, where it was taken
• Get a notification the moment a reminder is checked off
• Find out if the tablet goes offline
• Everyone caring for the same person shares one view, so nothing is doubled up

Install Liz on a tablet, choose "Set up a Liz device", and share the four-digit code with your family. Anyone who enters it can help.
