## Description

Measure a noise event and keep approximate Leq, maximum, minimum, tags, and notes on your device—without creating or uploading an audio recording.

Noise Diary is a focused tool for measuring environmental sound and saving the moment as a noise event.

What you can do:

- See an approximate dB(A) reading
- Start and end an event to save Leq, maximum, and minimum
- Add a tag and notes
- Review a local timeline
- Export CSV and PDF
- Apply local calibration using a reference sound level meter
- Continue only an event you started while the screen is locked or another app is open

Privacy first:

- Analysis runs on your device
- No audio recording is created
- Audio and measurements are not uploaded
- No background measurement outside an event you start

Important: Readings are approximate values calculated from the iPhone microphone. Noise Diary is not an IEC-compliant professional sound level meter. Do not use it for legal, health, hearing-safety, or workplace-compliance decisions.
