## Description

Hand the phone to the clue-giver, say one word, and see if your partner gets it. Over 400 words, eight themed rounds, and scoring that counts down with every clue.

Hushword is a party word game for teams of two. One of you is the clue-giver, holding the phone and looking at the hidden word. The other is the guesser, eyes off the screen. You get one word to describe it. They get one guess. Then you do it again and the longer it takes, the less the word is worth.

HOW IT WORKS

Gather an even number of players and split into pairs. The clue-giver taps the card to reveal the hidden word, then gives a single-word clue — no compound words, no gestures, no part of the word itself. The guesser gets one guess per clue. Roles swap each round, so everyone takes a turn on both sides.

TWO WAYS TO PLAY

Free Play — pick a category, draw a word, reveal it when you're ready, move on. No setup, no score, no pressure. Ideal for a warm-up or for playing with your own house rules.

Scored Game — enter everyone's names and the app shuffles them into random teams of two. Adjust the pairings or name the teams, choose how many words and rounds you want, and play. Every word opens at 10 points and drops one with each extra clue. Miss, and the word passes to the next team, worth a little less. Highest total after the final round wins.
