FreeRange Dryfire turns your iPhone into a dry-fire training range.

Chamber an in-cartridge laser trainer, point your phone's camera at a paper target, and FreeRange DryFire detects every laser pulse, maps it to the exact spot on the target, scores it against the target's zones, and records it as a shot. No live ammunition — just focused, repeatable practice at home...on any target.

Train with purpose
Go beyond blasting away at paper. Run structured drills built around real skills:
• Par-time, draw, and reload drills on a shot timer
• Transitions and zone-calling drills that make you read a cue and engage the right target
• The USPSA classification ladder — draw, transition, and reload standards that report an honest class
• Recall, a memory-ladder game that grows a target sequence every rep

Any Target
• Train on the same targets you shoot at the range. There's no need for specialized proprietary targets
• Built in target creation tool lets you define hit boxes on commercial targets that you already own or purchase at your favorite sporting goods store. 
• Ships with hit box definitions for several well known target manufacturers to work out of the box. A built-in barcode scanner can also remember and load the settings for targets that have them.
• Print reduced-scale USPSA and IPSC silhouettes at home, each with a built-in calibration bar and a setup code you scan to configure your session in one tap.

• Live scoring and group analysis, shot by shot
• Precision and dispersion stats done right — accuracy and precision reported separately, outliers surfaced instead of hidden

Zero your optic
A distance-aware zeroing tool captures your laser/bore offset and corrects for sight-height-over-bore, so your scoring stays honest at any training distance. Includes a boresight zeroing aid.

Streaks, goals, milestones, personal records, and progression trends that only claim improvement when the data actually supports it. A daily challenge keeps you coming back.

Private by design
Everything runs on your device. No account, no sign-in, no server, no tracking. The app makes no network connections except to Apple for purchases.
