ABOUT THE AI
Identification is powered by a built-in, on-device image-recognition model (Apple Core ML, trained on the iNaturalist 2021 nature dataset covering 10,000 species). It runs entirely on your iPhone — no cloud service, no account, and your photos never leave your device. Identifications are suggestions you can always correct by hand.
