## Description

Fanorona is Madagascar's national board game — a checkers-like strategy game with a capture mechanic all its own: "approach and withdrawal" captures that reward reading the whole board, not just the next jump.

HOW IT'S DIFFERENT
Move toward an enemy piece to trap it, or move away to spring a trap from behind — either way, every piece caught in an unbroken line is captured, sometimes in long chains across the board. Captures are mandatory whenever one is available, so every position has real tension.
