Next Coders does not require students to have a parent account connected for use. No subscription needed for learning + free trial class for all first time students. Next Coders Academy is changing how students learn with personalized lessons, AI feedback, and real-time audio to make it feel as if a smart tutor is helping guide them through complex topics. Next Coders is built with the help of parents, teachers, and students with a goal to bring in-person style learning to a fun digital environment. Parents can be part of the action with daily lesson feedback and lesson modifications. There are 20+ courses available with multiple languages including Python, C++, and Java. Whether a student is a complete beginner or advanced pro, there are courses made for them. Each week we are adding new courses and games to the Next Coders learning platform! How It Works: For students - this is pretty simple. Each day, students have a lesson they need to complete with a game they will build at the end of the curriculum. They will also need to complete a homework assignment and may receive practice assignments based on their lesson performance. There is no limit to how many units a student can complete in a day. Each lesson is generated based on a variety of factors that are specific to each student. These factors include learning speed, concepts struggled on, student interests, and if applicable - parent requests. Each day a new concept will be introduced and students work through concept slides where they write code in order to move on. When students run into challenges, instead of a blank error message - the AI tutor knows the context of the code they are trying to build, what they have learned before, and data about the student which it uses to generate a truly helpful tutoring response. Students can directly ask the AI tutor questions about the lesson and the tutor will respond to each question, sometimes highlighting where their code is right or wrong For parents - Next Coders enables parents to be a part of their student's learning journey. This includes real-time live lesson overviews where parents can see the code that their student is typing and what the lesson goals are. Parents also get a detailed daily summary written by the AI tutor for each of their students. This daily summary outlines what the student learned in their respective courses for that day and where they excelled or struggled. And finally, parents can directly request adjustments to lesson curriculum - for example, asking for the lessons to focus more on conditionals. Coursework: Each course contains 16 units - with 15 slides per unit. Walkthrough slides explain the concept that is introduced, shows the code the student should type, and requires the student to manually type all code. Challenge slides are designed so students must read the directions thoroughly and use critical thinking skills. Challenge slides don't provide the code to the student but rather let the student work their way to the solution. This is where Next Coders truly thrives. The AI tutor knows what the correct code is, knows what the student's code is, and knows the student's learning profile to which it uses to slowly guide the student through difficult concepts.
