Algeblock is a screen time app with a twist — you don't just set limits, you earn your time back by solving real math problems. Solve a problem, unlock minutes. The harder the problem, the more time you earn.

Five subjects. Four difficulty levels. No shortcuts.

Choose from Integrals, Derivatives, Algebra, SAT Math, or AP Physics — then pick your level from Basic through Expert. Every problem must be solved digit by digit, so you can't just guess.

Built to actually teach you

The Learn tab isn't just a formula sheet. Every topic comes with: • A plain-English explanation of why the math works — not just how • Worked examples with full step-by-step solutions • Common mistakes to avoid • Links to Khan Academy and 3Blue1Brown videos • Practice problems you can expand and check

Earn time, build streaks

Correct answers add real minutes to your screen time window. First-try solves earn more. Use a hint and take a time penalty. Fail a problem and get the full worked solution so you learn from it.

Real blocking, not the honor system

Algeblock uses Apple's Screen Time API to actually block the apps you pick. Open a blocked app and a shield appears in its place — no willpower required. Solve a problem to lift it, and when your earned time runs out, those apps lock themselves again automatically. You can also choose whether your time counts down continuously or only while you're actually using a blocked app.
