Kabe (Japanese for "wall") blocks the apps you choose — by schedule, by daily time limit, or on the spot with a focus session. It adds the one thing iOS Screen Time is missing: friction when you try to give up.

WHY NOT JUST SCREEN TIME?

The built-in "Ignore Limit" button takes one tap. Kabe's block screen has no such button.

On top of that, any change that loosens a rule — removing an app, shortening a block window, raising a daily limit, deleting a group, interrupting a focus session — requires a waiting period. The rule stays active while you wait. Impulsive unblocking is prevented by design, not willpower.

FEATURES

- Schedule blocking: block apps during set hours, with weekday selection and overnight windows (e.g. 22:00–7:00)
- Daily limits: once your time is up, the apps stay blocked for the rest of the day
- Focus sessions: block a group of apps right now, for anywhere from 15 minutes to 24 hours; ending a session early requires the waiting period
- App groups: group your apps once and reuse the group across rules — schedules, daily limits and focus sessions can share the same group
- Waiting time is configurable from 5 minutes to 24 hours

HOW IT WORKS

Kabe uses Apple's Screen Time API (Family Controls) and asks for Screen Time permission at first launch. The permission is used only to block apps on your own device.
