## Description

Banansai isn't a gallery of photos — it's a living, procedurally-grown 3D tree you shape with your fingers. Choose a species, an age, and a base style, then reach in and bend the branches directly. The tree responds with believable spring, the foliage re-settles, and the silhouette comes to life. Every tree you make is deterministic, so it reloads exactly as you left it.

Through play, Banansai teaches the real principles of bonsai — apical dominance, trunk taper, branch hierarchy, nebari, negative space, the rule of thirds — by pointing at the actual geometry in front of you, not by burying you in text.

Shape it • Grab ring handles and drag to bend any branch — it arcs, springs, and holds its new line • Prune foliage pads to open negative space and reveal the tree's hierarchy • Nominate the apex and watch growth energy gather at the crown • Orbit, pinch to zoom, and let a gentle ambient wind keep the tree alive • Live readouts for taper, branch count, and apex update as you work

Grow a grove • Five species — Maple, Juniper, Pine, Elm, and Ficus — each with its own foliage, bark, and habit • Four classic styles — Formal upright (Chokkan), Slanting (Shakan), Cascade (Kengai), and Windswept (Fukinagashi) • Age your tree from sapling to ancient and watch girth, taper, and canopy respond • Name each tree and keep it in your personal grove of living 3D specimens

Feel the principles • Annotated lessons draw hand-inked callouts directly onto a slowly turning tree • See the taper measured, the hierarchy compared, the nebari flare, the charged emptiness of Ma • Learn by feeling, not by reading

Contemplative, unhurried, and beautiful. No accounts, no ads, no clutter — just you and a tree that grows the way you shape it.
