OwnYourPics helps you back up your iPhone Photos and iCloud Photos library to your own external drive - without uploading your media to another cloud

Choose photos and videos, connect a USB-C drive, SD card, or supported Lightning storage setup, then copy your original media to the backup folder you choose!
OwnYourPics verifies the copied files and creates a backup report so you know what was saved.

After a successful backup, you can optionally use Free Up Space to delete only verified backed-up items from Photos and iCloud Photos.

 Important notes:

‣ OwnYourPics cannot remove only the local copy of specific iCloud Photos items while keeping them in iCloud. For that, iOS provides Optimize iPhone Storage in Settings.
‣ External drives must appear in the iOS Files app before OwnYourPics can use them. Some Lightning iPhones and SSDs may require a powered adapter or hub.
‣ Deleting from Photos may also delete items from iCloud Photos and other synced Apple devices. Always check your external backup before using Free Up Space.
‣ OwnYourPics is designed for people who want simple, private, offline control over their photo and video library.
