## Description

Two players. One device. Shift columns and rows on a board that wraps around — line up four before your opponent does. Train with the AI, then duel for real.

Duel Shift is part of the Duel series — games built around one idea: your phone as a board game. Two people, same room, one device between them. No online mode, no matchmaking, no notifications. Just the game and whoever's sitting across from you.

Not ready to face a real opponent yet? The built-in AI Trainer lets you practise first — and show up prepared.

OBJECTIVE
Line up four balls of the same colour — in a row, column, or diagonal — anywhere inside the 5×5 board. Sounds familiar? The twist: nothing ever drops. Everything shifts.

THE TWIST
The centre 5×5 board belongs to both of you — every ball on it is up for grabs. But each player also has a private hand row on their own side: your row, your colours, and only you can slide it. Only you? Almost. Columns run through both hand rows, and pushing one steals a ball straight out of your opponent's hand — and drops one of yours into theirs. One move can feed your own line, wreck their setup, and rewrite the whole board. Nothing here is safe, and that's the fun.

EACH TURN
• Shift a column — push new balls into play, the column wraps around
• Shift your hand row — position the colours you'll feed in next
• Both moves every turn, in either order (or lock the order in settings)

SCORING
• 4 in a line → 1 point
• Two lines at once, or 5 in a row → 3 points
• Three or more lines in one move → 9 points

GAME MODES
• Local Duel — two players, one device, face to face
• AI Trainer — practise against a lookahead engine that plans four moves ahead

SETTINGS & DEPTH
• 4, 5 or 6 ball colours — fewer colours, faster chaos; more colours, deeper planning
• Move order: free, column-first, or row-first
• Row shift: one step per turn, or slide freely
• Hidden mode: hand rows visible only on touch — for poker faces
• Match format — first to 5, 10 or 15 points wins the match
• Custom player names and visual themes

CLEAN & FOCUSED
No ads. No accounts. No internet required. Pick it up and play.

A shifting twist on the classic line-up-four formula, built with neon visuals and a smooth touch interface. Part of the Duel series — turning phones back into board games.
