PACK PLANNER
Build your kit from a catalog of trail gear and see the three numbers that actually matter: base weight, food and water, and what is worn rather than carried. Type in your own scale readings, and watch pack weight as a share of your body weight against the twenty percent line. Start from a day hike, overnight, or weekend kit and adjust from there.

TRIP PLANNER
Distance alone never predicts a day. Enter the miles and the climb, pick your group's pace, and get a realistic moving time, break time, finish time, and the turnaround time you should honour whether or not you reached the top. Your pack weight from the planner feeds straight in, because a loaded backpacker does not move at day hike speed. Add sunset and it tells you how much daylight is left over.
