Vellum Ink is a quiet iPad app for writing by hand. Put your Apple Pencil down and the interface steps back — no crowded toolbars, no feature maze. It's built to feel like paper and do the things paper can't: read your handwriting, keep a backup, and never run out of pages.

A CANVAS, NOT A CONTROL PANEL
• Low-latency ink that keeps up with your hand
• Paper templates for the way you write: lined, grid, dotted, graph, Cornell, handwriting guides, and checklists
• Paper tones from warm cream to slate and black, with an optional fine grain
• Two appearances — Daylight and Candlelight — and the page keeps its own color in both
• Portrait or landscape per note; scroll through pages or turn them; draw a single stroke across two pages when you need the room
• Focus mode: the moment your pencil touches down, the chrome fades away

Flip a page over and Vellum shows its text twin: your handwriting read into editable words, on your device. Polish then tidies the prose and lifts out the tasks you scribbled in the margins.

YOUR WRITING STAYS YOURS
• Notes live on your iPad and sync through your own iCloud — no account to create, no server of ours in between
• Nothing is posted anywhere until you tap Post and see a preview of exactly what will leave
• Post sends a page to connectors you set up yourself: your own worker, your journal, a webhook, or an AI agent you choose
• Export any note as PDF, PNG, or Markdown, or save straight to Files

A LIBRARY, NOT A JUNK DRAWER
Folders and subfolders, favorites, tags, and drag-and-drop filing. Deleted notes wait 30 days before they're gone for good.
