Verscroll puts your Bible verses between you and the apps that eat your day.

Pick the apps you lose time to. When they're locked, opening one brings up Verscroll instead — and the only way through is to recite a verse from memory, word by word. Type the first letter of each word and the word appears — miss, and the screen shakes. Or say the verse out loud, and Verscroll listens as each word falls into place. Finish, and you choose how long to unlock: 15 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour, or two. When the time is up, the lock comes back on by itself.

The result is simple. The reflex that used to open a feed now opens Scripture.

Tap the mic and recite by voice — each word appears as you speak it, with a live meter so you know Verscroll is listening. Switch between speaking and typing anytime, even mid-verse.

BUILD REAL MEMORY, NOT A STREAK

Verscroll schedules every verse with spaced repetition tuned to how you actually recite. Each attempt is scored on accuracy — how many words you missed, and whether you needed a hint — and that score decides when the verse comes back. Verses you know cold drift further out. Verses you fumble return today.

The spacing adapts to your pace, too. Verscroll learns how many recitations a day you really do and spaces reviews to fit, instead of burying you under a backlog you'll never clear. When your queue has room, it tells you you're ready to take on a new verse.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT

Your verses, your recitation history, and your app selections stay on your iPhone. There is no account, no sign-in, no tracking, and no analytics. Apple's Screen Time framework never reveals which apps you chose — not even to Verscroll.

Verscroll uses the Screen Time (Family Controls) permission to shield the apps you pick. You choose the apps, you choose the verses, and you can change or remove either one at any time.
