As simple as that, PedalPoint is the most effective way to practice intonation. For the first time, musicians can practice alone how to play with others. If you are a beginner, take your first steps with a controlled play-along. If you are a professional, elevate your technique by creating exercises that support your warm-up routine. Deepen your harmonic intuition by playing your melody in its harmonic context. Master the difficulties of contemporary music, like quarter tones or spectral music. Get familiar with a historic tuning system and much more!

You can choose a sound from 15 different instruments. The sound is created from real instruments (not MIDI). PedalPoint is the only App that provides drones with a natural sound, while its intonation is clean and algorithmically stabilised. You can freely choose your concert pitch (e.g. A = 443 Hz), and you can use PedalPoint in any desired transposition (e.g. in B flat). Save your exercises within the app or share them to your friends and colleagues. 

To use the App hands-free while playing, it is necessary to have a bluetooth pedal (page turner). Any device that sends a key stroke (→) to your iPad will be compatible. PedalPoint is not a tuner, it cannot register your playing. Instead use worlds finest tuner: your ears!

PedalPoint provides full control over the intonation of every note. You can use different tuning systems, like equal temperament, Pythagorean tuning, or a historic tuning system. Further each note can be fine-tuned according to its harmonic function, by ear or by its cent value. This makes PedalPoint a powerful tool to manage intonation in complex harmonic situations – theoretical knowledge is not required.
