## Description

Learn Punjabi with Ladoo. Practice speaking and reading Gurmukhi/Shahmukhi with quick, bite sized lessons for free. Made for heritage Punjabi learners and beginners.

You understand Punjabi but freeze when it is your turn to speak. You follow every word at the dinner table but cannot read a single line of Gurmukhi or Shahmukhi. Or you are starting from zero, and every app you have tried barely supports Punjabi at all.

Ladoo is the first app to teach Punjabi in both Gurmukhi and Shahmukhi.

Ladoo has two separate tracks. The language track teaches you to speak and understand Punjabi. The script track teaches you to read and write Gurmukhi or Shahmukhi. Already understand the language? Start with the script. Brand new? Start with the language.

What you can do

1. Learn in short Punjabi lessons. Each one takes a few minutes and keeps your place, so you can stop today and pick up tomorrow.

2. Learn Punjabi in Gurmukhi or Shahmukhi. Each script has its own version of the course. The Shahmukhi lessons are not Gurmukhi run through a converter. Where people who speak Shahmukhi Punjabi use a different word, Ladoo's lesson teaches that word.

3. Practice the same idea several ways. Punjabi lessons mix listening, translation, matching, and writing exercises.

4. Read eight narrated Punjabi stories, voiced line by line in the script you are learning.

5. Talk with Bhaji, your AI Punjabi tutor. Ask about grammar in plain English, or hold a real conversation in Punjabi.

6. Keep every Punjabi word. Words you learn go into your word bank, and spaced-repetition flashcards bring each one back right before you would forget it.
