## Description

Each day, a hidden rival is matched to you. Out-walk them by 8 PM — then find out who they were. One duel a day, no grinding. You vs a stranger, until the mask comes off.

Every day, Shadowstep matches you against one hidden rival — and you have until 8 PM to out-walk them.

You won't know who they are. Their name is redacted, their city is a guess, their step count climbs in real time beside yours. All you know is the number you have to beat. Then at 8 PM the mask comes off: the identity is revealed, the verdict lands, and you find out whether the stranger you've been racing all day was a friend, a neighbor, or someone you'll never meet.

One duel. One day. No grinding, no endless leaderboards, no streak guilt. Just the quiet pressure of someone out there walking — and the question of whether you moved more than they did.

HOW IT WORKS
• Each morning you're paired with an anonymous rival.
• Shadowstep reads your daily step total from Apple Health to keep score.
• Watch the gap in real time — your steps against theirs, lane by lane.
• At 8 PM, the rival is unmasked and the duel is settled.
• Win or lose, you get a share card built to send.

WALK YOUR FRIENDS
Challenge people you actually know. Find which of your contacts already play (we only ever check secure one-way hashes — your address book never leaves your phone in readable form) and call them out for a head-to-head where you both know exactly who you're racing.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Sign in with your phone number — no email, no password.
• Shadowstep only READS your step count. It never writes to Apple Health and reads nothing else.
• No ad tracking. No data sold. No advertising profiles.

Out-walk a stranger before the day ends. Find out who they were. Then do it again tomorrow.
