Beckon wakes you by calling your own name, out loud, in a real voice — at a moment you can't predict, in a way that's never identical twice. There's nothing for your sleeping brain to get used to.

• It says YOUR NAME. A spoken voice calling your name cuts through sleep in a way a generic tone never will.
• Never the same twice. The wake moment and the escalation vary every morning, so habituation never sets in.
• Prove you're actually awake. To turn it off you complete a quick tap-the-light reaction check — a real “you're up” test, not a button you can swat in your sleep. It's different every time, so you can't learn to fake it.
• Stand up to shut it off (optional). Turn on Physical Wake Proof and the alarm ends only once you're physically upright — Beckon reads your phone's angle, and on Face ID devices the front camera, to confirm you're sitting up with your eyes open. It runs entirely on-device; no image is ever saved or shared, and there's always a “Just let me up” escape.
• Reliable by design. Built on Apple's AlarmKit, so it fires through Silent mode, Focus, and a locked phone.
