■ One-tap check-in, on the spot
Arrive at a shrine, temple or castle and log it with a single tap. Save the goshuin / goujoin stamp photo, the highlights, who you went with, and even a wish for the day. Let GPS find the nearest spot and check in one-handed.

■ Collect and raise your companions
Komainu guardian-dogs, foxes, the three-legged crow, the golden shachihoko, dragon and qilin gods... a whole cast of charming, mysterious companions that dwell in the shrines of Japan and Taiwan. Keep visiting and your bond deepens - and their form EVOLVES through four stages, from a tiny youngling to a radiant deity. Feed them with offerings, dress them up, and decorate their cozy little home.

■ Clear the fog with your footsteps
At first, the map is covered in clouds. Every place you visit clears the fog above it. Light up all 47 prefectures of Japan - and Taiwan too - one footstep at a time. Go find the shrines and castles hidden beyond the clouds.
