## Description

Wiggly Words helps beginning readers build three essential reading skills: sounding out words, recognizing high-frequency words, and spelling from memory.

Instead of simply tapping through exercises, children actively read, listen, remember, and build words—helping them practice the skills they use when reading independently.

PHONICS
Read a word → change one sound → read a new word

Children discover how changing one sound creates a new word. They progress through 48 guided phonics sets, from simple CVC words to blends, digraphs, and vowel patterns, building the decoding skills they need to sound out unfamiliar words.

SIGHT WORDS
Hear a word → find it → recognize it faster next time
Children hear a high-frequency word and find it among other words on the screen. Practice with 500 Dolch and Fry words helps familiar words become quicker and easier to recognize while reading.

SPELLING
Hear a word → hold it in memory → build it independently
Children listen to a word, remember it, and choose the letters needed to spell it. They practice 320 essential words from Kindergarten through Grade 3. Gentle guidance appears when needed, encouraging children to work out the word rather than simply copy it.
