1 Bit Pixel is a pixel art and animation studio with a retro terminal soul. A phosphor-glow interface, a boot sequence, ASCII frames — and underneath, a fast, modern, full-color editor built native for iPad and Mac.

No accounts. No subscriptions. No onboarding maze. Open it and draw.

DRAW
• Pencil, eraser, fill, shapes, curves, arcs, polygons, stars, text with bitmap fonts
• Spray, jumble, blur, dither brushes and gradients (linear, radial, dithered)
• Symmetry: horizontal, vertical, radial mandala and grid tiling — with visible guide lines
• Magic wand, marquee selection, alpha lock, clipping masks
• Pixel-perfect stroke cleanup and a shading mode that walks your palette ramp

ANIMATE
• Frames, onion skin with tints, frame tags, linked cels, motion tweening
• Per-frame durations, muted frames, playback straight on the canvas
• Layers with groups, blend modes and opacity — Aseprite-style global layers

COLOR
• Custom palettes, Lospec import, presets (PICO-8, Game Boy, NES, DB16...)
• OKLab color ramps that shift hue like an artist would
• HSV wheel, spectrum and slider pickers

EXPORT ANYWHERE
PNG, animated GIF, APNG, MP4, sprite sheets with JSON metadata, Aseprite files, layered PSD, TGA, QOI, SVG, ICO and more. Import PNG, GIF, WebP, PSD and Aseprite too.
