Golf Stats turns every round into a clear picture of where your next stroke is hiding. Built with guidance from John Riley, PGA Professional, it tracks the hole-by-hole stats a coach actually looks at — and helps junior and improving golfers practice the things that lower scores.

LET A COACH OR FAMILY FOLLOW ALONG — LIVE
• Share a live round over iCloud with a short code, a link, or a QR code
• Followers watch it update hole by hole — and need no account to follow
• Pin followed players to the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island — one live card shows everyone's thru and to-par as they score
• Optional push notifications every few holes, after each nine, or when the round finishes

TRACK SHOTS FROM YOUR WRIST — APPLE WATCH
• Tag a GPS pin for every shot as you play, straight from your wrist
• Dictate a shot by voice — "7 iron, fairway, uphill" — and Golf Stats fills in the club, lie, and slope for you (powered by on-device Apple Intelligence)
• Set the flag and fill a hole's score from your tracked shots before you move on
• Change holes with the Digital Crown or a swipe, and raise your wrist to jump right back in
• A quick confirmation banner flashes after every tag, dictation, flag set, or score — so you always know the wrist registered your tap

• Distances drawn automatically between shots (yards in play, feet on the green)
• Each shot's lie is detected from the course map — green, fairway, bunker, rough, or water — with no tapping
• "Plays-like" distances show how far a shot really plays once you factor in uphill, downhill, and the wind
• A Strategy button plans the hole shot by shot — where to aim, what club, which side to miss on, and the score to expect, modelled from your shot pattern against the real fairways, bunkers, and water
• Tag club, lie, stance slope, penalties, and relief to see exactly where strokes are won and lost
• Score a hole straight from your pins — no typing required

THE STATS A COACH ACTUALLY USES
• Fairways, greens in regulation, approach-for-GIR, putts, penalties, up-&-down, and miss direction
• GIR fills itself in from your score and putts; stats you didn't track stay out of every total
• Strokes gained off the tee, on approach, around the green, and putting — measured against a baseline you choose: PGA Tour, scratch, a 5/10/15 handicap, or bogey golfer
• Rich round summaries with scoring and putting breakdowns, a club-distance chart, and a putts trend across the tournament
• Ask AI for a coaching read on a finished round — on-device Apple Intelligence highlights what went well and what's costing strokes, then share its notes with a tap, or hand the same round summary to ChatGPT or Claude
