## Description

Qalma gives you one thing to draw each day, and one quote to sit with.

The prompt is always a simple object. A cup. A kite. A snail. A paper boat. Nothing you need to be good at drawing to try. Some days you will spend a minute on it. Some days you will skip it, and that is fine.

The page is a real canvas. A pen with two widths, and fifteen ink colours. Open a day from weeks ago and the drawing redraws itself, stroke by stroke, in the order you made it.

Under the page is the day's quote. Thirteen voices: Rumi, Marcus Aurelius, Emily Dickinson, Laozi, Ibn Battuta, Kahlil Gibran, George Eliot, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Muhammad Iqbal, Benjamin Franklin, Sun Tzu, Charlie Munger and Orison Swett Marden. One voice a day, chosen for that day rather than picked at random. Tap it for the full passage, a short piece on what it means, and an honest note on who the person actually was.

The year is written as 53 chapters of seven days. Each chapter has a title and a mood, and each day adds one line to that week's story. At the end of the week you can read the whole thing, and share it as a short film of your drawings.

If you want a reminder, set it for any hour. It is written in that day's voice. It stays off until you turn it on.

Everything stays on your phone. No account, no cloud, no feed, nothing collected. It works the same in airplane mode. When you want your work out of the app, export every page as one PDF, or share a single day as an image or a short video.

There are no streaks. Nothing counts up, nothing breaks, and nothing piles up waiting to be cleared. Skip a week and the app will not mention it.

Less is fine.
